Yvonne DiVita here:
There's a lot going on at WME these days. Our authors are all in high gear, some more so than others, as you can see by the many mentions of God Spare Life by Dr. Claudia Lynn Thomas.
But, Lee Thayer is also working on getting attention for his leadership books - we'll let you in on his latest marketing ploy later this week. Our own George Kittredge, of There's a Fine Line Between a Groove and a Rut, is off on vacation but always thinking of new ways to get his book noticed...as he continues to work on our current authors' titles.
Additionally, I'd like to mention that our trip to Blogher was outstandingly successful. While we did not have time to set up a table for self-published authors, as we would have liked (and hope to do in the future), we did hear chatter about books...authors...self-publishing - including a lot of questions on what it is, how to do it, and whether it's worthwhile.
To that end, I'd like to announce that I will be contributing to a blog called Beneath the Cover, all about publishing. My articles will focus on self-publishing and especially print-on-demand. As always, our goal at WME is to give authors options - to help them choose the best option - whatever that may be. So, watch for my insights at Beneath the Cover. And, read the rest of the outstanding writers, as they have answers you may need, also.
Remember: a book is a personal product. It's a part of you. Make sure the choices you make toward publication are the right ones. If you don't know the answer to a question, ask. We'll give you an answer - or find out where to get the information.
